Dumb Barge for conversion - BW No8   £29,500
Dumb Barge for conversion - BW No8 Here is a rare opportunity to buy this 82ft dumb barge. Orignally built for British Waterways and the river severn dredging operation of old, this is barge No.8. Built approximately late 50's, we think. Constructed with pre nuclear produced British steel in 10mm or 12mm thickness. There has has been little to no plate loss since. A survey is available to view with the vessel. Perfect for conversion to create your ideal floating home. No8 Barge is of a size large enough to be a good sized family home with room for 3 double bedrooms, mulptiple reception areas, large entertaining and deck spaces. The dead space at fore and aft would be ideal for all plant and equipment to be housed. If one was thinking about going more off grid, then a water source heat pump, on a flowing river, is a great heating/cooling solution to be added to any solar, wind and water power generation set up being considered. Finding a barge ready for conversion on an existing mooring is a rare opportunity to kick start your journey to your dream floating family home. She is flat bottomed with flat sloping front and rear sections. It is an 82ft long by 16ft wide hopper barge. The Hopper itself is 60ft by 14ft wide at the top point. Narrowing to approx 8ft at the bootom of the 8ft deep space. The load area is supported with steel braces along the entire length of these sideballast tanks. A repair is required to a mooring bollard. As can be seen isn the photos, there is is also some minor impact damage to the stern port quarter. Repairing this would allow the hopper to be put back into service

Project 31 Cruiser   £9,995
Project 31 Cruiser FINAL REDUCTION: Serious offers will be considered Get your hands on this professionally part restored classic cruiser complete with most items required to finish. The story began on Newport Street in Plymouth in 1965. It was here that ex-Naval officer David King and two friends started a company called Marine Projects. Their first model, which was named Project 31, was built on the hull of a Senior 31 and fitted out in a rented shed. From such humble beginnings, Marine Projects made huge advances. Over 150 Project 31 yacht models were sold in the following four years and have therefore become the initial success story behind the 1969 launch of the Princess 32 – the first model to bear the name. She is on the market at a great price and the so don’t hang around get yourself a boat for the summer sun for £10,250! It is presently ashore in our workshop. Margaret Ham, although requiring some TLC offers a lot of scope, she benefits from some useful upgrades such as warm air heating, a major refit in 2021 which included the wheelhouse extension being refurbished, including new lockers, one of the two engines being extensively overhauled, two of the stern bulkheads were replaced. Indeed, the current spend with us on the refurbishment is over £17,000. Full details of work done available to a serious purchaser. Also included in the sale are 2 x new fuel tanks and two boxes of spares. The current owners are Ex Pats and have used Margaret Ham as their UK base for their holidays for several years. Unfortunately, the two-year Covid pandemic, resultant ban on travel and advancing years has made the owners re-evaluate their plans. They as a result have reluctantly taken the decision to sell Margaret Ham. Step on board, through the double doors to enter the spacious extended wheel house, which has newly installed seating and lockers. The dinette converts into a double bed. Then down a couple of steps into the galley and dinette area. Forward of which is a two-berth cabin. The upholstery is in very good condition

Project - Trawler Style Boat (reduced from £21k)   £12,000
Project - Trawler Style Boat (reduced from £21k) The current owners have lived on this boat for 8 years. Please note it is a Project boat, viewing is recommended. The boat is sufficiently large that (as they have done) there is room to live on it whilst working on it. An ability to weld would be a distinct advantage. We would reiterate that Kouros Ace is a project and not currently in the water! However, she is very spacious and has much potential to the right person It is 52 ft long, with a beam of 15ft. 8 inches. The air draft is believed to be 21ft. The hull was last surveyed in 2015 by the previous owner, copy is available. A Perkins V8, 510 Engine is fitted which runs but needs core plugs, also fitted is a 20Kva single phase generator powered by a Ford 4 D engine 20. The current owner informs us that an upgraded version Perkins 540 V8 is available by separate negotiation, offers in the region of £500 ovno. This project live aboard is a phenomenal vessel for the current price. It was built by Fishguard Marine Ltd. We believe this steel Trawler Yacht was the only one they built during 1981-85. The decks are very spacious and are a great addition during the summer months. The current owners had many BBQ's on the fore deck; it really is a great space to entertain. There is also a rear deck which is about 3×4 meters. As you can imagine in the summer, after a BBQ watching the sun set over the river, with its background of red cliffs and trees is truly beautiful and memorable. Subject to the boatyards approval you may stay on Kouros Ace whilst you work on it. Currently there is no shower on the site. However, there is a lavatory, an Elsan disposal point, electricity and fresh water. A washing machine and an outside shower will come with the boat. The galley is equipped with: a LPG gas oven, five burner hob and dish washer, with pressurised cold water at the galley sink. There is no panelling inside, however there is foam insulation in the living quarters. There is nothing hidden what you see is what you get its not one of those boats that looks really pretty until you start to strip it out. During the past 8 years and the current owners have done a lot of work replacing decks and internal supports, blasting inside adding ribs and new scupper holes. Indeed until recently the owners were still working on it. Viewing is highly recommended for Kouros Ace. Further pics available on request. Kouros Ace is only for sale due to a change in the owner’s circumstances. They have reduced her from £21,000 to £12,000. As a quick sale is required, therefore, will not accept offers. Storage is £1 per ft per week plus VAT and is payable quarterly in advance. Subject to boatyard approval. The owners have a lot of parts available, including a 9-kw hydro water heater and twin coil Stainless Steel Calorifier purchased over the years for Kouros Ace . All available by negotiation
