‘Wellaway’ is a beautifully appointed home built to the owner’s specification by Viking Canal Boats in 2019. The owners oversaw the building of ‘Wellaway’ at the factory in Poland and they have been meticulous in its care since delivery in December 2019. Incorporating extra height inside, it has been finished to a very high standard with no detail overlooked. The vessel is now only offered for sale due to a change in personal circumstances. Beta Marine 60hp 4 cylinder diesel engine (keel cooled) coupled to a shaft drive via a Beta Marine gearbox. Single lever control, tachometer with engine hour display, oil pressure, charging and temperature warning lights, fuel tank gauge. Engine hours 336 and last serviced August 2023. Vetus 95kgf bow thruster with joystick control.

Original build specification – 10mm base plate, 6mm hull sides, 5mm cabin sides and roof. Integral diesel tank, stainless steel water tank, steel ‘wrapped’ aft deck, built in seats with storage beneath, steel LPG locker, deck boards with engine bay beneath, steel fairleads, bollards, handrail, aft doors and hatch, pole and plank rack, additional stainless steel hand rails, double-glazed forward doors, half-doors, windows and port holes. Internally, extra thick spray foam insulation, hull side linings in ash veneered ply, cabin side and head linings in white painted tongue and groove pine, ply and solid wood bulkheads, lockers and cabinets, hardwood trims, hardwood laminate flooring throughout except tiling in the bathroom and WC, 2 x Houdini hatches in the roof.
Hull and base plate sandblasted, primed in two-pack epoxy and finished in two-pack synthetic epoxy tar paint, decks, roof and gunwales finished in non-slip paint. Light blue topsides, gunwales, cabin sides and decks, white coach lines and roof. Mid-grey fabric pram hood with stainless steel frame.

Steps lead down for the aft deck to-:
Galley (2.70m x 2.60m / 8’10” x 8’6″ excluding additional unit to port) – fitted cupboards adjacent to the steps, fitted base units in an L shaped configuration to starboard with light grey, soft-close doors, solid wood work tops, white Alabaster sink and drainer with a mixer tap, counter-top hob with extractor hood, integrated dishwasher, full height cupboards along aft bulkhead (incl, free-standing fridge/freezer, eye-level oven and microwave with storage beneath, additional base unit and work top adjacent to the portside bulkhead. Utility (1.90m x 0.8m / 6’3″ x 2’8″) – sliding door from galley, cupboards with electrical systems, airing cupboard, cupboard with washer/dryer, shelving above.
Saloon (4.20m x 3.50m / 13’9″ x 11’6″) – fitted solid wood shelf unit to port, two radiators, half-doors to starboard, Houdini hatch in roof, free-standing furniture.
Study (1.80m x 1.30m / 5’11” x 4’3″) – cleverly concealed in the corner of the saloon by a pair of sliding doors, with a fitted corner work surface, storage shelves and cupboard beneath and additional shelving above.
Bathroom (1.92m x 2.00m / 6’4″ x 6’6″ includes wash basin recess) – large 1.2m x 0.9m walk-in shower cubicle, Lustrolite high quality shower panels, adjustable height shower head and thermostatic mixer tap, vanity unit with solid wood counter top, wash basin with mixer tap, storage beneath, wall mirror, full height storage locker, towel radiator, additional shelving.
WC – separated from the bathroom by a wooden sliding door, fitted counter top with shelf and cupboard storage beneath, electric flush cassette toilet. White patterned tiling with throughout WC and bathroom.
Master Cabin (3.62m x 3.50m / 11’10” x 11’6″) – large fitted lift-up double bed with ample storage beneath, full size wardrobes and shelving on the main bulkhead, two full height corner wardrobes, bedsides tables, reading lights, dressing table unit with storage beneath, radiator, steps to the forward well deck.
