‘Avonvale’ is a very nicely presented example of the classic Ocean 30 that has been carefully maintained by the current owners over the past 10 years including a brand new canopy and screen covers. The vessel comes with a comprehensive inventory, invoices and records of all servicing and work done since 2014 and the original build certificates (copies on display in the saloon!). Mercedes OM636 diesel engines coupled to shaft drives via TMP gearboxes with twin single lever engine controls. Fuel, RPM, temperature, alternator, oil pressure, replacement hour gauges and refurbished speed log. Engines last serviced in 2023 by Great Ouse Boat Services. Port engine completely rebuilt in winter 2020 and gearbox replaced 2021.

White GRP moulded hull, topsides, decks and superstructure, non-slip deck panels, alloy framed cabin windows and folding screens with toughened glass, stainless steel pulpit rail, grab rails, stanchions (with timber capping) and hand rails, stainless steel cockpit rail, PVC gunwale fendering, steel davits, stainless steel canopy frame, brand new blue fabric cockpit canopy and matching screen covers (there is also the previous canopy, which is still in good condition and could be used as a winter cover), blue vinyl window covers. Vessel last laid up ashore Winter 2022/3 and antifouled March 2023.

Accommodation 
 
An easily accessed aft cockpit with re-upholstered rear bench seating, large lazarette locker beneath, canopy with removable, zipped side panels, port side helm position, matching helm’s and co-pilot’s chairs, lifting floor panels with access to the engines, batteries, fuel tank and bilge area. A central doorway leads to the cabin with steps down to-:
Galley to starboard, which has been modernised to compliment the original joinery with a cream laminate work top incorporating a stainless steel bowl sink with a mixer tap, locker and drawer storage, recently fitted 12v fridge and gas hob, grill and oven with a stainless steel heat deflector.
WC & shower compartment to port, refurbished with waterproof panel boards, a charcoal grey laminate counter top and upstand, a stainless steel wash basin, mixer tap/shower attachment, manual sea toilet, mirrored cabinet and a Thetford cassette toilet.
Dinette to port on a raised plinth with wrap around seating, storage beneath seating and plinth, a table that can be folded and also provides an infill to convert the dinette into a double berth. There is a large three-quarter height storage locker between the dinette seating and forward bulkhead with a useful shelf on top.
Seating forward of the galley with storage beneath, also offering an additional single berth.
The forward cabin is private and separated from the saloon area by a full height bulkhead with a bi-fold cabin door in the middle and comprises twin vee berths with infill cushions to form a double berth, storage drawers beneath, a large hanging locker on the port side, a deck hatch above and access panel to the chain locker.
There are windows all round that provide a light and airy feel to the accommodation. The interior has been well maintained in its original varnished Sapele ply and timber to compliment the modern touches. The cabin side and head linings are original cream vinyl in excellent condition for their age. Light blue upholstery and carpet with pale patterned curtains complete the cabin finish. Lighting is provided by original cabin head mounted fittings and a pair of reading lights in the forward cabin.
